Mayor Zibuyisile Khuzwayo-Dlamini Welcomes Newly Appointed Top Management

Her Worship the Mayor, Cllr Zibuyisile Khuzwayo-Dlamini, has officially welcomed and congratulated the newly appointed Municipal Manager, Mr Thulani Khuluse, Chief Financial Officer, Mr Vunani Dube, and the Director of Corporate Services, Mrs Wendy Makhoba, during a meeting held at the Municipal Council Chambers on Wednesday, 4 October 2023.

Speaking at the meeting, Her Worship said the successful appointments will bring accountability, certainty, and stability to the leadership and operations of the Maphumulo Municipality.

Mayor Zibuyisile Khuzwayo-Dlamini further urged the Council and staff to allow for a period of transition as the new appointees take on their new roles…

“As Council, we firmly welcome these appointments because, as accounting officers, the three leaders bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in local governance that will steer our Municipality forward, thus staying true to our vision of improving the quality of life for our citizens, growing our economy, and creating a financially sustainable government,” said Her Worship.

Mayor Zibuyisile Khuzwayo-Dlamini further urged the Council and staff to allow for a period of transition as the new appointees take on their new roles. “We must work together as a cohesive unit with Mr Khuluse, Mr Dube and Mrs Makhoba to ensure that the needs of the people of Maphumulo are at the forefront at all times.”
