Maphumulo Commemorates World Environment Day

Maphumulo Local Municipality led by Mayor Zibuyisile Khuzwayo-Dlamini alongside Speaker Simphiwe Shange and Gender and Vulnerable Groups Portfolio Chairperson, Cllr Monica Khoza joined the Office on the Rights of Senior Citizens within the Office of the Primier, in partnership with FNB & National Office of SA Older Persons Forum, when they visited Masikane Center for the Aged on Thursday, 15 April 2021 in Ward 5.
This visit was aimed to distribute hygiene packages to senior citizens. This project is part of the national response to the clarion call of curbing the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Province.
The FNB relief fund has been instrumental in responding to aid the vulnerable communities from the effect of the pandemic.
